Oops… I almost forgot one of the best things I found at the Havana Social Club. While I was there, I saw that upstairs in the cozy VIP Nook, there was a private party going on — which I immediately crashed. People were sipping drinks and sampling a variety of snack mixes made by Sahale, a local Seattle snack company.

Man! These snacks were seductive…like nothing I’ve ever tasted before. Some of my favorite flavor combos were:
VALDOSTA, a Southern blend, is made with Black Peppered Pecans, Sweet Cranberries and Orange Zest.
SING BURI, Thai tastes of Lemongrass, soy glazed Cashews, Pineapple, Peanuts & Sesame Seeds ~ lightly dusted with Chinese Chili.
KSAR, our Moroccan blend, is a piquant combination of Pistachio Nuts, Pumpkin Seeds, Figs and Harissa.
SOLEDAD, a Mediterranean blend, is a sunkissed combination of Almonds, Flax Seeds & Tender Dates, tickled with Balsamic Vinegar & Cayenne.

The minute I got to a computer, I checked these puppies out and found out that not only are these ethnic nut blends scrumptious, but they are also really healthy; offering protein, fiber, vitamin E, folate, and many vitamins and minerals.
