What’s Up Down Under? Say G’Day to SFO, Sydney

Qantas Airways Ltd., the largest airline in Australia, announced it will commence non-stop flights next March between Sydney and sister city, San Francisco. There will initially be three flights a week on Boeing Co. 747-700 planes. Plus, Qantas will add flights between Sydney and Vancouver with a stopover in SFO during North America’s winter, spring and summer seasons to accommodate ski and cruise passengers.

Right now, the fares are $399 each way based on round-trip purchase from SFO to Sydney or back.
