Royal Treatment from Fairmont: St. Andrews Bay Golf Resort & Spa, Scotland

Whether you’re a hacker like me or a scratch golfer, you’ve probably always dreamed of playing a round where golf was supposedly invented: The acclaimed Old Course in St. Andrews, Scotland.

On July 1, Fairmont Hotels and Resorts started managing Scotland’s destination golf inn, the 209-room St. Andrews Bay Golf Resort & Spa, a few miles from the medieval town, with views of the North Sea, and within a Big Bertha drive of another 9 courses. Don’t forget the five restaurants, a huge 3,500-sq. ft. spa and health club, and about GBP 10 million in planned upgrades to come over the next few years.
