Placing Ads on Barf Bags: US Airways

This story may make you want to toss your cookies. According to CNN.com, US Airways has reported that it will accept advertising for air sickness bags. The ads will start appearing in September.

I find this quite ironic. After all, reading may make some people air sick. So now, they can get airsick reading the barf bag at their seat.

This is yet another way the airlines are trying to squeeze dollars out of every square inch of passenger space to offset rising fuel costs. The article says, “America West, which merged with US Airways last year, boasts the first advertisements on tray tables, the first airline gift cards and the first in-flight meals for sale – ideas that makes the company $10 million per year.” Read the story.
