Pay to Pee:: Ryanair Airlines

Travel Blogs were all in a tizzy this morning when word leaked out that Irish carrier Ryanair, Europe’s largest budget airline, is considering installing coin slots on the planes toilet doors according to their CEO, Michael O’Leary. During an interview on BBC television, this was just one of many cost-cutting measure, that O’Leary is considering. He didn’t feel that charging a pound to use the loo would present a problem since, “I don’t think there is anybody in history that has got on board a Ryanair aircraft with less than a pound.”

This suggestion comes after Ryanair announced last week that it was going to shut all check-in desks at airports and have passengers check in online instead.

Do you think that includes toilet paper?

One Response to Pay to Pee:: Ryanair Airlines

    Not a bad idea to meet out the operating cost. Nobody would mind to pay so little for using all equipped toilets. I foresee many airlines introducing such schemes soon. For example, one airlines recently has started to charge for using pillow.
