An analysis by ACNielsen reveales that varietal wines priced under $6 a bottle are the most popular, but sales of wines that cost $15 and above are experiecing the fastest growth rates.
Another fact of wine life: Tastings are no longer freebies. About half of North American wineries polled by Wine Business Monthly said they charge a tasting fee, with average fees between $3 and $6.
