This summer, Netflix, an online movie rental service, is taking a few American classic movies and screening them at locations inspired by or filmed.
The Netflix Rolling Roadshow will feature 10 movies at the locations made famous by the movies. Watch the “Field of Dreams” in the actual corn field in Dyersville, Iowa. Or enjoy Stanley Kubrick’s “The Shining” at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado, called “The Overlook” in the film.
Other movies include:
* “Escape from Alcatraz” on Alcatraz Island in San Francisco Bay;
* “Jaws” on Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, which was called “Amity” in the flick; and
* “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” in Northbrook, Illinois.
The roadshow begins on August 2 with “The Warriors” at Coney Island, New York. Read the entire list here.
