Million Dollar View, Reasonably Priced Menu :: Paradise Bay, Sausalito

Yesterday, we held a Vagablond North America Executive Board Meeting at Paradise Bay Restaurant, a Sausalito restaurant offering million dollar views along San Francisco Bay, a very reasonably priced menu of delicious seafood, steaks, burgers, salads, and more, tropical drinks (I almost ordered the Raspberry Mojito, but had to drive home), and very attentive service.

Over the years, this square block of valuable real estate that’s five minutes north of San Francisco via the Golden Gate Bridge –– with Angel Island, Tiburon, Belvedere and Mt. Tamalpais views — has housed a hamburger restaurant (Zack’s) with a great singles scene and live turtle races on Wednesday nights, followed by Margaritaville, a Mexican chain where the drinks were sometimes tastier than the food.

But now, it’s a brunch, lunch, dinner, appetizers, tropical cocktails from the Shark Tank Bar, and waterfront patio establishment with wonderfully inventive seafood, like the ISLAND BENEDICT, with Grilled Pineapple, Dungeness Crab Cakes, Poached Eggs & Spicy Hollandaise, or the OMELETTE WITH ROCK SHRIMP, SCALLIONS, ASIAGO CHEESE & ROASTED RED PEPPERS – Served with Paradise Bay Potatoes.

Everything we sampled was perfectly prepared and served. Don’t go to Sausalito without stopping by Paradise Bay.
And if you’re sailing into S.F. Bay, they also have their own dock to drop anchor before hoisting a few.
