Making Mom’s Day
Until I went to college, I took dozens of trips with my parents — to the desert, to Mexico, to Hawaii, to the mountains, and more. My Mom was always the travel leader in terms of packing our clothes, making sure we wore enough sunscreen on our noses, ensuring we ate the right foods while we were on the road, timing us for an hour before we could go swimming after meals, et.al.
Now, my wife and mother of our daughter has taken over the role of Best Mother in a Lead Role for family travel. So in honor of Mother’s Day, here’s a tip of the Vagablond hat to all mothers, everywhere, especially those of our staff and contributors.
