Luxury Hits New Heights :: Intercontinental San Francisco

It took years from blueprints to blue tower, but the Intercontinental San Francisco will open on February 28 at Fifth and Howard Streets in the popular SOMA district. It will be the largest SF hotel to open since the Marriott “Jukebox” was completed in 1989. And it will be 100% smoke-free.

The Intercontinental’s numbers are staggering. It’s housed in a 32-story glass tower. Rooms are 330 to 450 square feet. Prices run from $259 to $400/night. Suites offer 700 to 899 square feet. A two-story presidential suite weighs in at 2,000 square feet. Rooms feature 300-thread count Frette linens, VoIP phones, 42-inch flat screen TVs, and all are decorated in yellows and celadon green.

Planning a meeting? The Intercontinental has 43,000 sq. ft. of meting space across 21 rooms, so it can supplement San Francisco’s Moscone Center, which is just a block away.
