Is A Hotel Room in Germany Your Goal? A Million Just Opened Up.

It sounds like it’s too good to be true or the stuff of a bonafide urban legend. But FIFA, soccer’s governing body, had block-booked two million hotel rooms for the June-July World Cup Soccer Matches across Germany that start on June 9.

But FIFA only sold one million rooms because most fans couldn’t find tickets for the games.
So the remaining rooms have been given back to the hoteliers in Germany — and they’re not all too happy about it.
