When she was a toddler, I used to take my daughter to the Children’s Discovery Museum in Fort Baker, just north of San Francisco, offering drop-dead gorgeous views of the Golden Gate Bridge.

If I didn’t live 15 minutes north of here, I’d spend a night or two.
