Gotta Love It: Top 10 Romantic Escapes

According to the love experts at Sherman’s Travel, they’ve just compiled a list of the ten most romantic places to escape. And what better time than for Valentine’s Day?

The list includes the following. I guess I’m not as romantic as I thought… I’ve only been to three of them to date:
1. Buenos Aires
2. Bora Bora
3. Dubrovnik
4. Halong Bay
5. Nevis
6. Paris
7. Quebec City
8. Santa Barbara
9. Santorini
10. Venice

I’ve been to four, Gil (Paris, Quebec City, Venice, Santa Barbara). I’m surprised about Santa Barbara — “romantic” doesn’t come to mind when I hear the name. Maybe it’s cuz of that sappy soap opera? Buenos Aires is at the top of my “gotta go there soon” list — Sue

I have managed to get to 4 of the places on the list, but have managed to get to Nevis 20 times. Just love this island! Very laid back, no crass commercialism, and very private beaches. One is even called “Lover’s Beach”, though the local name is a bit more bawdy than that (wink). If you would like to learn more about Nevis have a look at my website http://www.nevis1.com

    Cheers.

Thanks for sharing. what a pity that i haven’t visited all those above mentioned sites to have a fair review of each destination; however, i have to say that Halong bay is a wonderful getaway for any travelers. Known as one of the world natural heritage site, Halong attracts visitors with its natural beauty that can not be seen elsewhere. It’s said to be the heaven on earth. It’s the most beautiful in the summer sunlight.
