Give Your Phone a Raincoat :: Verizon G’zOne Cell Phone
A few weeks ago, Casio Hitachi launched the NX9200, the U.S. version of its runaway Japanse success: the G’zOne phone. Taking both styling and engineering cues from Casio’s G-Shock watch line, it sports a Verizon logo in FCC documents.
The new US version features industrial strength dust seals for enhanced water and shock resistance. It has a clamshell CDMA phone. It has a 2.0 megapixel camera, a music player, an LED flashlight, a stopwatch, a digital compass, and is Vcast Video Capable. This phone may not work underwater, but it’s good to go after it’s been submerged, in humid weather, or a rainstorm — at home or on your sailboat.
