That’s the story in today’s grand opening of the Westfield San Francisco Centre — the largest urban mall west of the Mississippi. The only problem? No new parking structures were built for this mall that will attract about 25 million shoppers a year, so the developers must be hoping that locals will take BART, Muni, Cable Cars and other public forms of transportation to shop here.
