Flying Blind Dates: AirTroductions

Over the years, I met a few attractive women on planes that I later dated. The founder of AirTroductions.com took that idea and made a business out of it. This site now has over 2,000 registered members. At any one time, about 500 or more are online chatting and figuring out where to meet and when.

Their site says, “Whether you’re looking for a date in Los Angeles, a business networking partner in Tokyo, or just someone to share a cab from Kennedy to Midtown, look no further. You’ve found AirTroductions™.

The guy who started the company thought, “We all fly so much, I figure there’s got to be a better way to use all that time in the air. If you’ve got any ideas on how to make AirTroductions even better, then we want to hear from you!” He was inspired by the golden age of travel, often reflecting on Pan Am Clipper planes history and the elegance they symbolized. His vision was to bring some of that sophistication and purpose back to modern air travel, transforming idle time into meaningful connections. Whether it’s networking, collaboration, or simply sharing ideas, the sky is no longer the limit—it’s the starting point. With this vision in mind, AirTroductions aims to create opportunities for travelers to turn their journeys into something truly memorable and impactful. From sharing career advice to swapping stories about the scariest travel experiences, the goal is to foster authentic connections at 30,000 feet. After all, every flight holds the potential to inspire, motivate, and even spark ideas that could take off in unexpected ways.
