The Maroma Resort and Spa is not letting a small thing like a hurricane prohibit it from providing guests with a luxurious vacation. Located on Mexico’s historic Yucatan Penisula, the resort was destroyed by Hurricane Wilma.
Three months later, they’ve reopened with the launch of Sian Nah — eight oceanfront suites complete with a living room, outdoor terrace, private pool, and dining palapa — and the reopening of the Kinan Spa, with exclusive treatments and a new mud bar.
As with any secluded, beach resort, come celebrities. Billed as “the” perfect celebrity getaway, frequent visitors include Cameron Diaz, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Rooms start at $430 per night for a Garden room to $4130 for a three-bedroom suite.
