A Toast To Wealth and Rich Food :: 2nd Annual Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival

We were in Newport Beach about two months ago to take a tour of “The Breakers,” The Vanderbilt Mansion, one of the most exquisite examples of turn of the 20th century architecture from the Gilded Age. It was so spectacular, it made you shake your head from side to side to marvel how these folks lived, such as separate bedrooms for the Mr. and Mrs. because of all the costume changes she had to make daily while entertaining the upper crust of New England.

Now, you can tour mansions, dine on fine food, drink a choice of 150 fine wines, and pretend you’re a few million dollars richer than you actually are at the 2nd Annual Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival, September 27 – 29 in Newport, Rhode Island.

Seminars will be hosted by Sergios Esposito, Italian Wine Merchants, as well as Kevin Zraly, Windows of the World Wine School.

Celebrity chefs will include Nancy Verde Barr and Jacques Pepin — the latter will be featured at the Friday night gala dinner at Rosecliff.
