My friend Ken Howard grew up a few blocks from me in San Francisco. Maybe we both became scuba divers because we could see the Pacific Ocean from our homes. Or maybe it’s just a coincidence.
While I take an occasional underwater photo, Ken is one of the world’s best. He has captured and published amazing images all over planet Earth, as evidenced by his recent trip to the Bahamas to take shark images for the third time in three years with Jim Abernethy’s Scuba Adventures, with whom I’ve dived in Palm Beach, FL.
This was his best dive trip yet to the Bahamas yet — with Caribbean Reef (pictured), Lemon, Bull and Tiger sharks, excellent underwater visibility, terrific weather, plus outstanding photo opps with dolphins and other sea creatures.
