20 Years In The Blue: Red Sail Sports Grand Cayman

My favorite scuba diving provider,Red Sail Sports, just announced its 20th anniversary as one of the world’s leading resort watersports operators. In 1987, Red Sail Sports Grand Cayman opened its doors for business. To celebrate, Red Sail Sports Grand Cayman will host a year of promotions, giveaways and special dive packages.

The Past: Red Sail Sports Grand Cayman started with two dive boats, some beach toys and about 20 enthusiastic staff members. “Over the next 20 years, we built a reputation as one of the world’s leading resort watersports operators,? says Cayman Operations Manager, Rod McDowall. “Our philosophy has remained the same throughout the years: Give the customer the highest quality service possible.?

The Present: Today, as Red Sail Sports commemorates its 20th anniversary, our operations now encompass seven full service dive shops and watersports centers on Grand Cayman, two on the Big Island of Hawaii, and two on Aruba. In addition, Red Sail Sports manages an impressive range of resort retail boutiques on each island, and offers accommodations through hotel partners.

In the coming weeks, Red Sail Sports will also announce a 20th Anniversary “Celebrate With Red Sail Sports Hotel/Dive Package? on Grand Cayman. And watch for upcoming commemorative giveaways to be promoted online, at trade shows, and in the island’s retail shops for 10 lucky couples who can win dive packages at Red Sail Sports Grand Cayman.

The Future: Using a custom-designed program with the latest e-ticket technology for ease of use, Red Sail Sports Cayman just launched a new online reservations system. Individual customers will be able to book their watersports activities in real time, or call the toll-free number at 877-RED-SAIL to make a reservation.

Speeding Customers Through Checkout With Tablet PCs
In addition, the seven full- service Red Sail Sports dive and watersports centers across Grand Cayman will be armed with Tablet PCs to speed customers through the check-in process for diving, snorkeling, sailing and other activities, allow customers to sign waivers on the PCs, and confirm their activity dates in a few seconds. Hawaii and Aruba online booking systems will be launched in mid-2007.
