I saw an Apple iPhone TV commercial Sunday night stating that it will be available for purchase on June 29. After all, when CEO Steven Jobs promises a new product will be delivered on time, he meets his deadlines. (Sadly, the same can’t be said for rival Bill Gates and Microsoft’s often-delayed, much-maligned operating systems over the past 10 years.)
The uber-cool iPhone will use a touch-sensitive screen instead of a keyboard, combining a cell phone, a wide-screen iPod media player and wireless Web-surfing device for $499 or $599, depending on the configuration you choose, and offered exclusively by AT&T. Apple hopes to sell 10 million phones in the next 18 months.
