Imagine this: A new hotel in Tokyo, but instead of offering hundreds of hotel rooms, it only has 36. And of that number, 27 are reserved for monthly boarders, so just 9 are available as hotel rooms.
This is no ordinary boutique hotel, however. Claska is one of the coolest, best-designed, hippest, and most definitive entry anyone has seen, with way cool interior design by a UK firm called Tomato, a lobby lounge where you want to hang until 4am drinking, listening to the DJ spin CDs, and stretch out in the spacious space.
Claska is not near the city center. It’s a very long taxi ride from the main tourist spots. It’s not close to the train station, either. But it’s a great property with low rates, about $90 US for a basic single room. Or you can upgrade to a more impressive room with a corresponding price tag.
