My most recent trip was memorable for many reasons, but one of the highlights was my visit to Oliver Nera.
Owner Isabella treats you like family, who clearly takes pride in her profession. regarding the nights specialties. The food is absolutely delicious and her staff is fabulous and very knowledgeable. They recommended the stuffed fried zucchini Flowers, and the tiramisu was off the charts. Small yet comfortable atmosphere with outside seating.
Little traditional restaurant, with good wine and excellent food and service, without the tourist crowds and without paying a fortune. It’s off the beaten track, up a side alley in Castello area.
So if your list consists of a gondola ride and checking out the glass on Murano, make sure you fit in a meal at Oliver Nera. It is a 5 minute walk from Saint Mark’s.
