Kicking Off International Women’s Day in Style:: San Francisco

Did you know that almost 100 years ago International Women’s Day was started as a day for women around the world to put aside their ethnic, economic and political differences and join together to honor our years of struggle for equality, justice, and peace?

If you’re in the Bay area this Wednesday, come celebrate with about 500 others at the International Museum of Women’s (I.M.O.W.) fifth Annual Gala on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco. This inspiring celebration’s featured speaker is the founder of Women for Women International, and I.M.O.W. Global Council member Zainab Salbi. Mistress of ceremonies is Emmy-winning broadcast journalist Jan Yanehiro.
