Ship Out To Kimpton Hotel Group’s Argonaut Hotel :: San Francisco

Good evening, folks. This is your Captain speaking.

Whether you’re a sophisticate, sporty type, or just a small fry, we recommend you set your course for San Francisco’s Fisherman Wharf and drop anchor for a few nights at the Argonaut Hotel.

Run by those stellar life-style know-it-alls at the Kimpton Hotel Group you’re gonna love the place. It’s like being landlocked on a snazzy cruise liner, without the added excursion charges since everything’s right outside the hotel’s front door. Check out the Maritime National Park, The Cannery, Ghiradelli Square and Pier 39, or just kick back in one of the amenity laden suites* and watch the action on your own private telescope.

Each room has an incredible view of the Bay, including the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. Smartly done up in snappy maritime blues and sailor yellow, they wisely decided to leave the original brick walls and redwood columns for a little Gold Rush ambiance.

From 5 to 6 pm, stop in the hotel lobby for complimentary wine, then why not sail next door to the Blue Mermaid Chowder House for a cuppa the best? For the purist, I suggest you order the whole Dungeness Crab, simply steamed with a little garlic butter. Or if you have always wanted to try Cioppino (San Francisco’s spicy retort to bouillabaise), then this is the place to slurp down some of the freshest, fish stew ever. Be sure to save space for the berry cobbler, one serving is good for two.

The staff at the Argonaut is an added bonus, helpful, enthusiastic and so down-right friendly they make you grin coming and going. While we know you have many travel choices, this is one stop you’ll want to make with friends and family.

So Folks, it’s over and out from your Captain. Fair Skies ahead.
