Guys, apart from the beautiful wildlife of the country, the physiology of the country is also spectacular. One of the highest active volcanoes of the world, Cotopaxi is in this country and is a part of the Andes Mountains which is located in the heart of the country. What a sight!

Have you seen the volcano while it was active? Although it is very dangerous for the local people, the sight of the lava erupting from the distant crater would be really majestic. Cotopaxi is on the valley which is 2,750 meters high and people get the view of this natural beauty from a safe distance.

Hi! Just imagine this active volcano is situated in a valley which is 2,750 meters above the sea level! And then Cotopaxi rises to a height of 5,897 meters from the sea level. So, just think how long the channel through which the molten lava comes out from the interior of the earth is?

Guys, when I entered the Cotopaxi National Park, I was just astonished to see the landscape of the park. This is an ecological sanctuary built over 88,920 acres of land surrounding the active volcano. I have enjoyed hiking in this park and I am sure that this is the best location in Ecuador for nature lovers.

Friends, the Andes is full of volcanoes, I guess. Another great volcano, the Chimborazo Volcano, is located on the Western Cordillera, which is about 150km away from the capital of the country, Quito. This volcano is on the southwest side of Quito. The area surrounding this volcano is all highlands.

This volcano is a majestic one which rises 2,500 m above the surrounding 4,000 m high landscapes. You know guys the most amazing part of this area is that although this is a volcano, it remains covered with perpetual snow all year round. Imagine how heavenly it looks all year. I was just spellbound to get the view of this volcanic mountain.

Really, when you look at the summit at a height of 6,310 m, Oh! My God, what a beautiful sight! You will sure be dumbstruck. The peak is the highest point from the center of the earth, as this is only 1oS of the Equator, and you can see the bulging shape of the earth appear.

Hey, have you noticed an image on the National flag of Ecuador? The image is the Chimborazo which is the pride of the nation. The image on the flag reveals the richness of the Ecuadorian Highlands and the native Andean people of the region believe that this mountain is a sacred mountain.
