Yorkville Yum Yum: Sassafraz, Toronto

Talk about a celebrity magnet! Sassafraz Restaurant in the heart of fashionable Yorkville has been called “the hub, the headquarters, the clubhouse, the main stage where everything is happening” by the Toronto Sun. It must all be true because Courtney Cox Arquette recently liked its bistro so much that she dined here for four consecutive nights.

It actually has five venues: 1) An award-winning four-star restaurant that’s a visual feast; 2) A garden of culinary delights with a flowing fountain and 40-foot atrium ceiling; 3) A European style bistro with late night dining until 2 a.m.; 4) The Jitterbug Perfume Lounge for private events; 5) and a VIP Room inaugurated by Mick Jagger.

As Toronto’s premier celebrity haven for Hollywood and the music world’s biggest names, Sassafraz also has a wall of fame, live jazz brunch on weekends, and ongoing art exhibits.
