It’s Hip To Be a (Chocolate) Lounge Lizard: Ethel’s Chocolate Lounge

A recent survey has shown that 9 out of 10 people like chocolate. (Most likely, the 10th lied.) I suspect that “like? is putting it mildly; I’m willing to bet that when it comes to chocolate, it’s a matter of love.

Which brings me to ethel’s chocolate lounge, a place where chocolate lovers can linger over a cup of steaming hot chocolate, dip into a creamy chocolate fondue or sample a selection of decadently delicious truffles. The inviting pink and brown interior is furnished with leather couches and comfy chairs… perfect for a little chocolate and chat.

Ethel’s premium chocolates are the creations of their award-winning chocolatier, Chef Jin, who loves to “play with wonderful ingredients? to come up with intriguing flavor combinations. Try the eggnog, mojito or peanut butter and jelly — it’s nothing like the pb&j you found in your school lunchbox.

Right now there are nine ethel’s chocolate lounges in the Chicago area and one in Las Vegas at the Fashion Show Mall, with more to come in other parts of the country. But if you can’t make it to Chicago or Vegas in the near future, don’t despair. You can replicate the experience at home (well, sort of) by ordering your faves from www.ethelschocolate.com.
