Toe Jam and Purple Feet: Harvest Stomp, Grgich Hills Cellar, Rutherford

Have you ever wanted to do a Lucy Ricardo imitation to stomp grapes and get purple feet? Well, here’s your opportunity to get your feet wet.

During the harvest season, which may last through the end of October, at Grgich Hills Cellar in Rutherford, about 15 miles north of Napa, some lucky folks can actually experience the tradition of taking that first squishy step into the vat — and stroll off with a free “I stomped grapes at Grgich Hills” pin.

A: 1829 St. Helena Highway, Rutherford, CA.
T: 707.963.2784 — call first as grapes may not be picked each day.
