Gourmet Fast Food: New York City

From Budget Travel Online comes a story about a handful of premiere American chefs.

One is David Burke of New York’s David Burke & Donatella Restaurant who has placed his “Burke in the Box” food concept in the flagship Bloomingdale’s store at 1000 Third Avenue, featuring a Kobe beef hot dog ($14) with fries topped with Asiago cheese and truffle oil ($4.50).

Another is Thomas Keller, one of the most respected of US chefs. He owns/runs French Laundry in Napa and Per Se in Manhattan. expanding his Bouchon Bakery as a boulangerie in Napa Valley’s Yountville.
