Apple Store Takes On The Big Apple: New York City

Prada. Tiffany & Co. Saks Fifth Avenue. Bergdorf Goodman. FAO Schwartz. And Apple Computer? If you think I’m mixing apples and oranges, look who just opened its newest retail store last Friday in Manhattan on 59th & Fifth Avenue.

The store, Apple’s 147th, will feature a 32-foot glass cube entrance, a glass-and-steel circular staircase, 24-hour service, a staff of 300, and all the latest Mac technologies, from iPods to iTunes to iBooks.
